Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh, what a week it has been in the basketball world. First we see Jayson Tatum take down Giannis and the Bucks, then we see Luka and the Dallas Mavericks completely destroy the Phoenix Suns in game 7, and now we are currently getting the Pat Bev Media Tour, as he has been on every ESPN Show since Monday. The man, that has done little to nothing, when it comes to accomplishments in the NBA, has been doing nothing but blasting Chris Paul, non-stop, 24/7, 7 days a week and it's just Tuesday.
For someone who hasn't watched First Take in a while, I can't lie to you, this has been the best ESPN has been in a good minute. I don't know what made the producers or whoever at ESPN decided, "Hey lets bring Patrick Beverley up here to give his thoughts" but thank you very much!!!!! As a Lakers Fan, I am loving the slander of any team in the Pacific Division and when it comes to the Phoenix Suns, they kind of deserve it. Ironically, just like Pat Bev's team, the Minnesota Timberwolves, Chris Paul and the Phoenix Suns suffered a disappointing end to their season, where not only CP3 played horrible but Devin Booker and DeAndre Ayton were just as bad in the last game of their season.
The reason that I like what Pat Bev is doing, now is because he's holding CP3 and the Suns accountable for what happened in the most important game of their season. There's a great saying, "if you can dish it out, you better be able to back it up" and as everyone knows Phoenix has talked a lot of trash throughout the series with the Mavericks and they weren't able to back it up. So as it pertains to Pat Bev and what he's doing now, he's explaining why CP3 isn't feared by any players in the NBA and why he got what was coming to him. All I'm going to say is, there's a reason why Brandon Ingram rocked CP3 jaw a couple of years back.
To wrap it all up, we are about to see a media circus of Pat Bev completely running ESPN programming for a couple of days, because like I said earlier, ESPN hasn't been this good in while. I love CP3 and what he's done for the game but I'm starting to question, if the trade that David Stern veto'd, was a good idea. It seems like CP3 is running out of opportunities to get the ring that he has been chasing his whole career, and Pat Bev is letting everyone know about. I'm loving it and it's great TV as of now, some segments are cringe, but the overall product is great.
