What The Rangers Have To Do To Make It Too October?

We are finally in August and approaching the end of the baseball season in September, and the Texas Rangers have been in a slump since June. While the Texas Rangers have had a major turnaround compared to last year, they haven't been winning series that they should and currently hold a .5 game lead over the Astros for 1st place in the AL West.

As we are past the All-Star break and past the trade deadline, the Rangers have made major moves in acquiring World Series Champion and 3x Cy Young Award Winner Max Scherzer, acquired one of the greatest closers in Aroldis Chapman, and also acquired Jordan Montgomery from the Cardinals. Chris Young and the Rangers front office, have taken a look in the mirror and filled a lot of gaps in the pitching rotation which has been an issue for the last couple of seasons. When it comes to making a post season run and making it to October, adding pitchers like Scherzer and Chapman to a bullpen of Dunning, Perez and the rest of the pitchers is what it takes to win a World Series.

It's been 6 years since the Rangers made it to the playoffs and 12 years since they have been to the World Series, and the Texas Rangers have a great opportunity to bring excitement back to baseball fans in the DFW Area. The major thing everyone says is "if they stay healthy...", which is of course a key to postseason success especially when Corey Seager and Jonah Heim are currently dealing with injuries and Jacob deGrom being out since April, the Rangers are going to hope the bats can stay hot and the pitching moves can be reliable. As a fan it is nice to see the Texas Rangers front office going all in, and trying to get out of this 6 year playoff drought.
